BS 4781: 1990 (2005), – Testing Machine for pressure-sensitive adhesive plastics labels for permanent use

This British Standard specifies requirements for plastic labels for permanent adhesion under specified conditions.

 Apparatus for adhesion test:

Tensile testing machine ( suitable apparatus is specified in BS 5214: part 1)

constant rate of traverse

test speed: 300+/-30 mm/min

Note: Suitable  apparatus is specified in BS 5214, part 1.

Glass test plate with  minimum thickness of 6 mm

Roller

Aluminum foil

Cleaning material

Test speciemns: 200 mm*25 mm

Peel angle: 180 degree
