The German Wheel Peel Fixture is used to test adhesion and bond strength of tapes, adhesive backed films and foils, laminated release coatings, plastic and paper films according to DIN 53357.
This test method measures the force needed to separate the individual layers of the sample material. The rotating wheel design allows the fixture to keep the sample at a constant 90º degrees throughout the test. The sample is peeled from its base and samples must be flexible so they can be wrapped around the wheel.
Our company, TensoMax, designs, develops, manufactures, markets, and services universal testing machines including software, grips, fixtures and other accessories used to evaluate the mechanical properties of products, materials and components. Our tensile/universal testing machine are used in research and development, and quality control (QC) applications to test the strength, elasticity, durability and properties of materials including final products, packaging, metals, adhesives, plastics, wood, textiles, composites, ceramics and rubber.
Typical measurements include which can be done by our testing machines: • Fracturability / Brittleness • Compressive Strength / Hardness / Firmness • Rupture Force • Toughness • Elongation • Stress Relaxation behaviour • Yield Strength • Breaking Strength • Stickiness / Adhesiveness • Coefficient of Sliding Friction • Actuation Force • Tensile Strength • Peel Strength • Crush Resistance • Puncture/Burst strength • Abrasion • Seal Strength •
