Cone probes:

Cone/pyramid probes enter samples with increasing displacement. Often, cone probes produce fractures.

Obtainable in aluminum, stainless steel  and acrylic and angles from 30° to 90°.

Cylindrical probes:

Cylinder probes compress and go into viscous samples.

Cylindrical probes are used to evaluate compression, fracture, relaxation, creep, etc. They are obtainable in aluminum, stainless steel  and acrylic  from 5 mm to 100 mm.
