Texture Profile Analyzer (TPA) is a double compression test procedure for measuring the textural characteristics of food materials. It is also used in other parts of industries, like gels, pharmaceuticals, , and personal care.
Throughout a TPA tests, a texture analyzer ( mainly tensile/compression tester) compress the samples twice to provide insight into how samples behave when consumer chew them.
